Mr. and Mrs. Browne’s Retirement

On the 29^th of February 2012, Mr. and Mrs. Browne had their Retirement celebration. First we all went to the G.P room and had a prayer service and Father Dermody and Sister Joanna joined us. After the prayer service we had speeches, gifts and a power point presentation of photos throughout the years from the staff. We went outside so Mrs. Browne could plant a tree. Then we had some pictures taken with Mr. and Mrs. Browne and all the staff. After that we had a mini concert from all classes. There were poems, songs, tin whistle and dancing. To finish off the celebration in the G.P room we presented them with a “Memories Book”. Each child wrote a special memory about Mr. and Mrs. Browne for the memory book and we also gave them a tree to plant at home. We gave them some flowers, wine and a few other bits and pieces from the children. Then all the children went back to their classrooms to watch a DVD while some parents came in to say goodbye to Mr. and Mrs. Browne. Parents baked lots of lovely cakes and buns which were delicious. We all had a great day, it was sad to see them leave but they said they will visit us soon.
