Carol
singing
In December we had lots of fun preparing for our annual carol singing expedition into the Eyre Sq Centre. As part of the preparation we went to visit the 2 local nursing homes and had a lovely day on December 16th singing, chatting and laughing with the residents.
On the 18th of December 2014, 6th class went to
Eyre Square shopping centre Carol singing. We were fundraising for Galway Simon
Community. We set out for the city at noon. On the bus we sang songs, told
jokes and laughed. All in all we had loads of fun, until we had to go into the
shopping centre. It was lashing!
At around 12:45 we reached our destination. We sang for an
hour and a half, before we could go shopping. We got loads of sweets and had a
massive sugar rush! We sang for another 80 minutes, until we could get our food
in burger king. We kept throwing packets of salt at each other and gossiping
about our purchases (at least the girls were!) After that it was time to leave.
We walked back to the bus and chatted all the way. We were on the bus for at
least 30 minutes,by that time we were ready for a last mug of hot chocolate and
then a good night’s sleep!
