The pupils of KNS really put it up to the school staff. After 3 games the pupils came out as clear winners beating the teachers 3-0! Our 2 referees Cíosa and Lauren from 6th class were super on the day :)

A super afternoon's fun was had by all. Well done Active school committee for coming up with such a great idea!!

Hurling

During Active School Week some of the pupils from 4th, 5th and 6th shared the skills and talents they have developed over the years with the pupils from 1st, 2nd and 3rd. It was a wonderful training session and lovely for younger children to get a word of encouragement from the boys and girls who have been so successful on the school team in the past few years.

Zumba Fun in Killeeneen

The pupils of Killeeneen had a fantastic day last Monday with ever class getting a session of Zumba dancing as part of our Active School Week activities. Thankfully the weather stayed dry and we got a chance to do 2 dances with the whole school out on the basketball court. It was fantastic fun and put a smile on everyone's face :)

4th Green Flag

On Thursday the 24th May, 2012 , Killeeneen National school was presented with their 4th Green School Flag for Transport.  Jennifer Sharky (6th Class), Daniel O' Reilly (5th Class), Patrick Martyn (4th Class) and Mrs Kelleher attended the award ceremony and received the Flag on behalf of the school.
