When the Cougars came!
At Killeeneen a past pupil Ciosa Marchant who is going to represent Ireland in a cheerleading competition in America, visited the school with two of her coaches and taught the school a couple of gymnastic moves. They brought special equipment; a boulder. Before we started the gymnastics they did a couple of stretches with us .Now lets talk about gymnastics, first they played a game where they called a number and on each mat was a number the last one to get to the mat had to sit down. After that they did this exercise with us where you had to lay on the boulder which looked like a HUGE red lemon. The coach rolled the boulder with you on it and you landed on the other side onto a mat. Then we went to Ciosa and she showed us how to do a cartwheel on a bench by putting your hands on the bench and landing on the other side. After that we went to another station where you did a forward and a backward tumble on another mat. We all had a brilliant day learning about gymnastics and cheerleading. Finally, I'll just say one thing.....come back Cougars!!!!!!
