Gardening in Killeeneen!
On Wednesday the 7th of March Jack, Grace, Dean, Lauren and Conal dug and refreshed the school garden along with the help of Mr Dolan the school principal. Our school has a tradition where pupils from fourth class help the principal to prepare and plant the schools vegetable garden. Check out our fourth class blog for more photos.

Peace Proms
Just to remind you that 5th and 6th classes are going to the Peace Proms on Saturday. Tickets are nearly sold out so if you want one you better book it now. We have been working hard learning our songs since September. We appreciate the effort that Mrs. Browne, Mrs. Gohery and Ms. O’Callaghan have put into this.

Carol Singing
On the 20th of December all of 6th class went Carol Singing in the Corrib Shopping Centre to raise money for the Simon Community. We raised €1,800 . Thanks to all the children, teachers and parents who helped raise such an amazing amount of money.
Peace Proms 2012
On the 4th of February, both 5th and 6th class are going to take part in the Peace Proms Concert 2012. Peace Proms are when schools in Galway come together and sing a selection of songs with an orchestra. The concert will be held at Leisureland in Salthill in front of an audience. We have been practising with Mrs.Browne and Mrs. Gohery since September.Tickets are avilable online at http://www.cboi.ie/ or from the Town Hall Theatre at 091-69777. Early booking is advisable.
